Tariq Ali on Pakistan

On reading these words from the eminent writer and historian Tariq Ali, I say this: Not good. This is not good.

Yes. The BA (Bush Administration) may want Osama bin Laden pretty bad. So bad, they can taste it. And, yes, it has been an election issue — to invade er.. raid Pakistan or not to invade er.. raid. As this article says, the candidates are aligned on going in so it became policy. The twist is, as I see it, the BA waited for Pervez Musharraf to relinquish his command of the military, to be forced out of the Presidency, and for Benazir Bhutto to be dead before beginning this incursion. A weaker Pakistan is possibly a more dangerous Pakistan.
